Please remember in order to enter the conference you must present your digital ticket and government-issued photo ID. If you do not have these two items for registration, you will not be admitted into the event. There will be designated registration areas for speakers, partners, sponsors, donors, media, and delegates.

Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning. Please pick up your name badge and enjoy coffee and tea compliments of Propeller Coffee and light breakfast snacks. The conference will begin promptly at 9:50 a.m. Late entry or re-entry will only be permitted between speaker talks or during breaks.

The conference schedule can be viewed on our website – any updates will be reflected here. The conference program will be given to you upon arrival on October 26.

Evergreen Brick Works is located at 550 Bayview Ave. Paid parking will be available on-site at Evergreen Brick Works. Space is limited so we encourage you to come early if you plan to drive. The free Evergreen Brick Works shuttle bus departs every 30-45 minutes from the parkette on Erindale Avenue, east of Broadview Avenue (just north of Broadview subway station), starting at 7:15 a.m. We recommend taking (or sharing) a Lyft. First time Lyft riders can use the code EVERGREEN10 for $10 off your first ride. Returning Lyft riders can use the code EVERGREENGO for $5 off your ride to and from Evergreen Brick Works. Keep in mind cocktails & conversation will begin immediately after the conference ends, so do not plan to drive if you will be consuming alcohol.

A selection of snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the day, along with a complimentary boxed lunch at 12 p.m. Join us immediately after the conference for cocktails & conversation as we celebrate ideas worth spreading.

During talks and performances, we request that all cell phones are silent or turned off. Absolutely no recording devices or flash photography will be permitted.

Wear what makes you feel comfortable and expresses your personality! Evergreen Brick Works has recently gone through an amazing transformation, but breezes can sometimes be felt throughout the venue. We recommend that you dress warmly, and take advantage of our complimentary coat check if needed.

Your TEDxToronto swag bag can be picked up when you leave the conference. Use the token provided during registration to claim yours upon leaving the event.

The venue is fully accessible and we will be able to provide priority seating. Please let us know at registration if you require priority seating.

Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to meet new people within the TEDxToronto community. Come with an open mind and a willingness to engage in conversation. We also encourage you to connect with other delegates prior to the conference on the TEDxToronto 2018 Facebook event page. From speakers to delegates, get ready to be surrounded by inspiration for a full day.

The event will be Wi-Fi accessible under the network TEDxToronto and with the password identity.

The TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences. At TEDx events, a screening of TED Talks videos — or a combination of live presenters and TED Talks videos — sparks deep conversation and connections at the local level. TEDxToronto will take place on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Evergreen Brick Works.

2018 will mark the 10th annual TEDxToronto event. The event started as a small conference in 2009 with 120 people at Toronto’s Theatre Passe Muraille and has grown to over 1,000 attendees.

Speaker nominations for TEDxToronto closed on Monday, May 7, 2018.

We removed the application process to attend the conference in 2017. Ticket sales to attend TEDxToronto closed on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Learn more about these changes.

For every TEDxToronto conference, a limited number of subsidized tickets are available for those who require financial assistance.

TEDxToronto is a nonprofit organization. Our event is run solely by a team of dedicated volunteers, and money collected from ticket fees is allocated back to the conference to support costs for venue, operations, food & after party. Charging a fee means that TEDxToronto can become a more self-sufficient organization, ensuring that TEDxToronto programming and events can be sustained into the future and that we can continue to reach new and broader audiences.

General tickets are $250 + tax, which includes entry to the conference. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

TEDxToronto is a full-day conference.
