Announcing TEDxToronto 2013 Hosts and Satellite Event

2013 Hosts Jeff Vass 1

Just released today, TEDxToronto is proud to announce our hosts for our 2013 conference, consisting of a man with a moustache and a self-described “tidal-wave feminist.” Our hosts are:

Jeff Lohnes  | @jefflohnes
Grassroots Engagement Manager, Movember Canada

Jeff is a passionate supporter of idea sharing and storytelling whose passion has guided much of his life as an event promoter, a speaker agent for many high profile Canadian speakers, and his 4 years on TEDxToronto’s programming team helping select and coach the event’s speakers. Today, Jeff is an Engagement Manager for Movember Canada.

Vasiliki (Vass) Bednar  | @VassB
TEDxToronto 2012 Speaker and Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Education, the Hon. Liz Sandals

Vass Bednar is a Policy Advisor at Queen’s Park and an Action Canada Fellow, but don’t let her Master of Public Policy (MPP) fool you. Vass’ spirited playfulness is her edge in the policy world, where she uses humour to make complicated ideas more accessible. She opened the 2012 TEDxToronto show with a jam on Making Public Policy More Fun.
