Before you arrive at TEDxToronto this year, you will be able to start networking with other delegates. TEDxToronto is providing a new networking service called Presdo Match that helps you find the people you're interested to meet at the event and set up one-on-one meetings with them.
Find it at http://match.presdo.com/tedxtoronto-2010. If you haven't received your welcome email for this service yet, click "resend welcome email" when you go to the page.
Presdo Match was created by the people who created LinkedIn, including one of LinkedIn's co-founder, Eric Ly.
Presdo Match is a new product that was designed to solve the problem that everyone faces at conferences: who should you meet? With Presdo Match, you can find people you want to talk to at TEDxToronto. You'll first be asked to set up a profile so others can find you, which is easily done by importing it from LinkedIn. Then, use it to search for other attendees based on the interests you have at the conference. With the service, you can even find out who in your LinkedIn network will be there.
When you find someone you want to meet, you'll be able to use the service to request a short face-to-face meeting with them at the conference. They need to agree to the meeting before a time will be scheduled, so make sure your meeting is worthwhile.
TEDxToronto is pleased to have Presdo as a sponsor. "We are very excited to provide this innovative networking service for attendees. It'll bring a whole new level of finding and meeting valuable people at the conference," Eric Ly, Founder, CEO of Presdo said.
