Recap: TEDGlobal 2012 at the ING Café

On June 28, 2012, TEDxToronto hosted a day of compelling talks from TEDGlobal 2012 – a video stream from Edinburgh, Scotland.

TEDsters arrived at ING DIRECT Canada‘s Café to watch a number of sessions, including 'Talk to Strangers,' 'The Upside of Transparency' and 'Reframing.' Touching upon the week-long conference's theme of Radical Openness, the sessions explored our journey towards greater openness, collaboration and inventiveness.

Speakers talked about making education more accessible, the power of crowdsourcing and why data sharing should be encouraged.

Participants came throughout the day, settling into comfortable couches, as the TEDGlobal talks were broadcast on ING DIRECT's large television screens.

One local participant said TED has been an inspiration since he experienced his first talk in Warsaw, Poland. He said he continues to seek out TED events around the world, wherever he is.

TEDGlobal 2012: Radical Openness took place from June 25 to 29, 2012.
