TEDxToronto 2013 pleased to bring together 12 engaging speakers to deliver on the idea that we are who we are today because of the choices we have made in the days that precede it. Our conference, taking place on September 26, 2013 at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, will focus on the theme “The Choices We Make”.

Our third and final group of speakers announced today is a diverse one, showing quite literally how the choices we make can carve out unique paths for our society as a whole. This impressive group includes a professor dubbed “the modern-day da Vinci”, a preservationist and conscientious eater who is changing our approach to food, a feminist advocate combatting sexism and misogyny, and the CEO of the world’s leading social research firm.

“With our group of speakers for this year’s TEDxToronto officially complete, I’m excited to witness the thought-provoking TEDxTalks that each one will offer,” said Afshin Mousavian, chair and co-organizer of TEDxToronto. “The final four speakers announced today will undoubtedly offer delegates new ideas for evoking meaningful change in their lives.” Our third set of speakers includes:

Dr. Steve Mann
Professor, University of Toronto

Joel MacCharles, Writer, Cook
@wellpreservedSteph Guthrie
Feminist Advocate and Community Manager
@amirightfolksDarrell Bricker
CEO, Ipsos Global Public Affairs@darrellbricker
