TEDxToronto 2015 Announces Final Round of Speakers

With four weeks until our 2015 conference, we are putting the finishing touches on what promises to be an awe-inspiring day – and we are proud to now reveal our full lineup of confirmed speakers.

This year’s conference, driven by our theme Thresholds, will celebrate Toronto as a city that spawns great innovations, collaborative social change, and intellectual leaders – all with a global impact. Our 2015 program signals many “firsts” on the TEDx stage, as we shine a light on professions and topics that have not yet been featured in the TED community.

With that, we are honoured to present our final four speakers and featured demonstration:

Nina MažarBehavioral Scientist, Professor, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto

Jordan AxaniSocial Entrepreneur

Nina ArsenaultMulti-disciplinary Artist

Tarek IbrahimFounder, Airvinci

Each year, we aim to showcase local inventions that reflect the impressive ideas and advancements that are rooted within our great city. We look forward to welcoming Sohaib Zahid and Daanish Maan from Vanhawks to demonstrate the Vanhawks Valour. Vanhawks is a Toronto-based hardware company focused on reshaping the urban commute. As cities become rife with congested streets and overburdened public transportation, Vanhawks equips commuters with the technology to make cycling safer and more readily accessible. The Vanhawks Valour is the first step towards the cycling revolution.
